Global Communication

Do you know what global communication is? “Global communication is the process of transmitting and receiving information on a world-wide scale.”[1] Maybe many people do not know what global communication is. However, global communication is very important for people, and it changed peoples’ culture and business.
First of all, why global communication is very important for people? Because of communication changed peoples’ life and it give people some benefits. Then I give you some examples. Ten years ago people could use internet. People could search information on the internet; people could use e-mail to send mails; people could use some software to communicate with friends or relatives. However, people just could use internet in their country. Nowadays, because of global communication internet becomes international, people can find more and more information on the internet; people can communicate with other people that come from different countries on the internet; people make friends on internet from different countries.
Global communication advances culture communication. Why global communication advances culture communication? Studying abroad is a way of globalization. Nowadays many students choose study abroad. Students go to other country for study abroad that can learn a lot things not only academic knowledge. The students abroad can learn different culture. For example, students abroad can learn different language; student abroad can learn life style; students abroad different campus culture; students abroad can learn different history. Students abroad who come from different countries can study together and live together. In 2010, there were three hundred thousand Chinese students go abroad for study. However, in 2000 there were hundred thousand Chinese students go abroad for study. Olympic Games are the most important part of global communication for human. Olympic Game is held every four years. Now, more and more countries join Olympic Games. It makes people from different countries that can get together. People can know more languages, knowledge, history and culture about other countries. There 205 countries joined 2008 Beijing Olympic Games. In 2000 Sydney Olympic Games, there 190 countries joined. There two example show you why global communication advances culture communication.
Global communication also advances business development. Ten years ago people called business just “Business”, but now people call business “International Business”. Because of global communication that business changed in these ten years. International business advances the national economy development. Globalization brings abundant resources from other countries through the way of export and import.
In conclusion, global communication changed peoples’ life, culture and business. It also advances human development. In my opinion, global communication is speeded up in our lives. It makes our lives better than before.
